Greek Salad

 This is my all time favourite. Never miss this, if you happen to visit Greece. But why wait when you can make it by yourself? 


Ingredients:

  • 1 head chopped lettuce (I used Oak-leaf Green Lettuce)
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 5-6 cherry tomatoes, cut into half (you can use large tomato too - cube shaped cut)
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1green capsicum
  • 10-9 green olives (pitted) 
  • 1 cucumber, deseed and chopped

Dressing:

  • 4 tablespoon of olive oil
  • black pepper powder
  • 3 teaspoon of lemon juice or vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano 


Method:

  • In a large bowl, combine lettuce, onion, tomatoes, feta cheese, bell pepper, capsicum, olives and cucumber.
  • Whisk together the olive oil, black pepper powder, lemon juice and oregano. Pour dressing over salad, toss and serve.





PS: Original Greek Salad is distinguished by the absence of lettuce.
