Carrot Milk
This reminded me of Gajar Ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa) while it was in the make.
Ingredients
- 5-6 dates
- 8-10 almonds
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons jaggery powder (optional)
Method:
- Soak dates and almonds in water for about 30 minutes and remove the skin of the almonds
- In a mixer add the roughly chopped carrots and grind them for a minute.
- Now add the soaked dates along with its water and the almonds. Grind until it forms into a smooth pulp.
- Take a sauce pan add the carrot pulp, milk and bring it to a boil. Boil until carrots release its taste and flavour in the milk will turn flavourful.
- Once done, switch off the flame and then add the jaggery powder.
PS: You can add cardamom powder / crushed cardamom pods and milk powder.
